Having finished my custom-printed translation—and sort of commentary—for the Gospel of Thomas, I’m mulling over what book I want to make next. Currently I have three similar projects in mind. Incidentally, all three are religious literature.
The first is a more in-depth equivalent for the Revelation of John. The bulk of this project is already mostly done, as I’ve been working and reworking it for a few years, but it has been several months since I last put any time into it. Another idea is a translation (and minimal commentary) on the Didache, a manual on ethics, ritual, and eschatology used by Christians for a couple of centuries before it more or less disappeared from history. I have a translation I made for this some years ago, but that’s been sitting in a text file, gathering bits. Like Thomas, these religious texts fascinate me because of how they incorporate existing material to create a new document.
I also have some projects compiling nearly the totality of Destiny lore into three volumes. I still need clean those up and get them printed.
Who knows. We’ll find out as the months go on.
